LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - - Despite being late by about 45 minutes, Vice-President Joe Biden brought a large crowd to their feet at a speech Friday afternoon at UW-La Crosse.

In his first public appearance since last night's debate, Vice-President Biden continued to draw sharp differences in the policies of Democrats and Republicans.

In the first few minutes, the ran through a laundry list of policies, from troop deployments, tax cuts, and importantly for many here at UW-L, cuts in education by Republicans.

He continued to point out middle class difficulties, stating they lost trillions in home equity and retirement plans while the wealthy hadn't paid their share.

A crowd of approximately 2,000 were in attendance, with an overflow crowd of 300 outside the Valhalla Room in Cartwright Center.
