Bills campaign stops in La Crescent

LA CRESCENT, Minnesota (WXOW)—Republican U.S. Senate Candidate Kurt Bills made a campaign stop in La Crescent on Friday.

He and his family visited Bauer's Market and picked out some pumpkins to carve for Halloween.

Bills is a member of the State Legislature and an economics teacher at Rosemount High School.

He said if elected he will help bring a budget to the U.S. Senate.

"As any high school economics student knows production, the production side of the economy is the jobs side of the economy. So right now we need jobs, we need careers for people the fiscal cliff isn't the way to go to get it done," Bills said.

He is running against incumbent U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar in the November election.
