Bill Clinton campaigns in WI

GREEN BAY, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The President's campaign has brought a strong presence to Ryan's home state of Wisconsin in recent weeks.

Oct. 19, Former President Bill Clinton rallied with Democratic supporters in Green Bay on behalf of the Commander-in-Chief.

Clinton went on the offensive, saying the Republicans have a bad spending record.

"Look, I hate this debt! By the way, when they cried crocodile tears about the debt, just don't forget in the last 50 years there have been exactly five balanced budgets. Four under me, one under Johnson. Score Democrats 5, Republicans 0," Clinton said.

Recent polling in Wisconsin shows the race extremely tight here.

A NBC/Wall Street Journal poll released Thursday has President Obama 6 points up.
