Doua Vang, 20 years old, has been arrested on suspicion of first degree intentional homicide. Police say Vang was hosting a party. They say Patchara Vue, 19 years old, left the party after he became upset about things that were said to him about his alleged affiliation with a gang. Police say Pathchara Vue later returned with four others, including Bobbie Vue to allegedly confront those who had made comments about him. Officers say that led to a fight.
Along with Doua Vang, police also arrested four others on suspicion of substantial battery and disorderly conduct: Xa Xiong, 19 years old, Kenny Vang, 17 years old, Jacob Vue, 23 years old and Patchara Vue.
"The street culture in our nation has reinforced the idea that being disrespected must be met with confrontation and retaliation. This attitude has led to violent, tragic outcomes," said Eau Claire Police Chief Jerry Matysik.
