Badgers offensive line jelling of late

Posted:

Madison, WISCONSIN (WXOW)  The Badgers have rediscovered their ground and pound identity and it started in the 4th quarter of the Illinois game three games ago.

Since then, Montee Ball and James White have combined for 11 rushing touchdowns and 809 yards.

That's more than the two accumulated in their previous five games combined.

While the backs get most of the credit you can't overlook the improving offensive line.

So what's been the difference for a group that's shuffled around seven different guys along it's five man front?

"I think that's coaching, it's players believing in what they're asked to do. They've gotten better and everyone's gotten better around them. I thought that you could see it happen overall during the course of practices that I get a chance to watch.  Everyone's getting better and I think they get a little more confidence in their quarterback and their running backs and hope everything moves forward," said head coach Bret Bielema.

The Badgers host Michigan State Saturday at 2:30pm.

You can see that game on WXOW 19.
