Winona County 2013 tax levy to drop 3%

WINONA, Minnesota (WXOW) -- Good news for property owners in Winona County.

The Winona County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously Tuesday night to cut the 2013 tax levy by 3 percent.

Commissioner Jim Pomeroy said cost savings and early retirements have left the county in a better financial situation.
