Township of Bridgeport, WI (WXOW) - Crawford County Officials are asking for the public's help in locating three men who tried to lure a child into their car.
The Sheriff's Department said on Wednesday around 8pm, three middle aged, white males pulled into a driveway in the Township of Bridgeport.
The males were driving a green car with yellow racing stripes over the top and brown doors.
Officials say one of the men asked a young child if they had seen any bags of money. The child told the man "no". The men then asked if the child would help them look for money and continued trying to entice the child into their vehicle. The child wisely retreated to their residence, safe and unharmed.
Sheriff Dale McCullick urges everyone to take the time and explain to their children the importance of never talking to strangers and certainly never to get into a vehicle with them.
