ALMA, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The man suspected of burglarizing a western Wisconsin school has been found incompetent to stand trial.
Wade Olson was accused of breaking into the Cochrane-Fountain City school last fall. A large amount of cash was taken from a safe and student medications were stolen from the school nurse's office.
Olson was also charged with stealing thousands of dollars in cash and jewelry from a rural Fountain City home and the Waumandee general store.
This week a Buffalo County judge found Olson incompetent after getting a report from a psychologist. The judge ordered Olson committed to the Mendota Mental Health Institute for one year.
