
Milwaukee, WISCONSIN (WXOW) The Aquinas boys soccer team saw it's season come to an end with a crushing 1-0 double overtime loss to Winnebago Lutheran at the WIAA State Soccer Tournament Friday.
Aaron Markgraf's goal on a free kick in the 96th minute was the only goal of the game in this division 3 semifinal played at Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee.
Aquinas had several chances to score in regulation and overtime.
They out shot WL 17-8 overall.
But Vikings goalie Caleb King had 7 saves to thwart the Blugolds attempts.
Aquinas' season ends at 15-7-2.
