COPY-Biden speaks at rallies in Oshkosh, Kenosha

OSHKOSH (WKOW) -- Vice president Joe Biden made two campaign stops in Wisconsin on Friday, in Oshkosh and Kenosha.

Biden spoke to about 1,000 people at UW-Oshkosh. He criticized Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney and vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan for their views on the American economy.

"Instead of recognizing how much work the American people have done, their grit, their determination - it is always `America is in decline.' Well, I've got news for them Romney & Ryan - America is not in decline. You're in denial," said Biden.

He said Romney "meant what he said" when Romney contended that 47 percent of Americans see themselves as victims entitled to government assistance.

Biden said, "I don't recognize the country he's talking about."

Later, the vice president drew about 1,500 people during a rally at UW-Parkside in Kenosha.
