New north side pantry helps stop hunger

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - A new food pantry opened its doors to help feed La Crosse's north side.

Potter's House Food Pantry serves the public on the last Saturday of each month.

The pantry has only been open twice and volunteers said they've already seen a large turnout.

Potter's House director Trish Clifford said she opened the pantry after noticing a growing need for food on the north side.

"We feel there is a very great need. I also am employed for Saint Luke's which is where we are housed here with Potter's House and I have people asking for assistance and needing assistance almost every day. So, we're very aware of the need, especially on the north side," Clifford said.

Potter's House Food Pantry is located in Saint Luke's United Methodist Church.
