ONALASKA, Wisconsin (WXOW) – The Onalaska Police Department teamed up with Burrachos Fresh Mexican Grill Monday in the fight against breast cancer.
Police and the restaurant held a fund raiser from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
During that time, 20 percent of food entree purchase prices were donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for the Cure to fight breast cancer.
"For a business like us, it makes us feel more like we're a part of the community," said Burrachos Manager Adam Plowman. "Much like the Onalaska Police Department is. It's also always just fun to work with them."
"I don't think there's anybody who hasn't been affected in some way through their family or friends by breast cancer," said Officer Errin Behn, of the Onalaska P.D. "So really this is just an awareness campaign."
