LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - A woman is arrested after police say she held up a dry cleaning business for money Wednesday morning.
A statement from La Crosse Police says that a woman came into Hangers To Hem at 1817 Jackson Street at 10:20 a.m. After a short conversation, the woman pulled out a small handgun and demanded cash. The woman left the business once she got the money.
She was then seen getting into a car parked at the gas station next door.
Officers and La Crosse County Sheriff's deputies searched the area for the car and suspect. Nicole E. Declute, 26, was stopped and arrested near 10th and Ferry Streets. The weapon used and all the money were recovered.
Investigators determined the driver of the car had only stopped at the gas station for gas, was not aware of the robbery, and that Declute acted alone.
