
WAUSAU, Wisconsin (WAOW) - An 89-year-old man is in critical condition after being hit by a Wausau police car.
This happened during the power outage Tuesday (10/30) night that left much of Marathon County in the dark.
Officials say the man was in a blacked out area wearing dark clothing and walking in a lane of traffic.
Investigators say the officer was going 24-miles per hour in a 25-mile per hour zone when he hit the man.
The officer was not hurt.
And authorities say no traffic charges are being recommended.
