Wisconsin early voting ends Friday

They're lining up across Wisconsin to vote early as the deadline to cast ballots ahead of Tuesday's election nears.

Unlike past years when early voting ran through the day before the election, this year it ends statewide on Friday.

There were as many people lined up waiting for the doors to open at the Madison clerk's office on Thursday as there was the day early voting started last week.

Jerry Kennedy of Madison says he wanted to vote on Wednesday but the line was too long, so he came back before 8 a.m. on Thursday. Voter Eugene Kennedy of Madison says he came out early because he wanted to "get 'er done."

Campaigns for both President Barack Obama and Republican Mitt Romney say they have the edge in early voting.
