ONALASKA, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Life in Harmony Music Therapy hosted their first annual fall recital at the Onalaska Omni Center.
Thirty-five students showcased the skills they've been working on in their music therapy sessions.
Life in Harmony helps people with mental health needs, and developmental and cognitive disabilities.
One student, Sam Reuteman, uses music to help him communicate and practice motor skills.
Sunday, Reuteman stood up in front of an audience, filled with more than 100 people, and sang "Any Dream Will Do" from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat.
"I was just blown away by the diversity of ages that we have and also what they have to showcase," said music therapist Amy Schaack. "The exciting part is that we are featuring what goals they're working on as well. Some children are targeting three or four different things with one song which makes me really excited for the audience to get to see today."
Life in Harmony is located in Onalaska.
