Man uses fake money to buy computer monitor

MADISON (WKOW) -- A 25-year-old Madison woman falls victim to fraud.

The woman was selling her computer monitor for $120 and had advertised on Craigslist.  She was contacted by a man willing to pay the full asking price.

The two met near her downtown residence Saturday and he handed her six $20 bills.  Once he left with her monitor, the woman realized the only legitimate bill was the one on top.  The other five had the same serial number of JG05178338B.

The suspect is described as a black male in his early 20's, about 6 feet tall with an average build.  He was wearing basketball shorts, sneakers and a sweater.

Police are still looking for the suspect.
