A Wood County man has been sentenced to ten years in prison and seven years extended supervision on a reckless homicide charge.
John French was charged with 2nd degree reckless homicide following a crash in 2011 that killed Robert Walker. Investigators say French was texting and driving at the time.
At the court hearing Monday, the judge heard statements from Walker's family and reviewed letters from the community.
