Girls hoops season opens; high expectations for Logan

La Crosse, WISCONSIN (WXOW)  A new season kicking off Monday in Wisconsin.

Girls basketball teams held their first practices.

The Logan Rangers had one of the best seasons in the area last year.

Logan went 20-5 overall and made it the Sectional playoffs.

They have just two seniors back but they've still set the bar high this season.

"I'm very excited. We had a very good run last year. Unfortunately, we got knocked out in the first round of the Sectionals. But we're coming back with a lot of strong player and a lot of young players. I'm really excited to see what we can do," said senior forward Grace Onsrud.

"I'm really excited. I think we can go really far this year. I'm just ready to get the season underway," said senior guard Adaysha Williams.

Most girls teams will open the regular season the week after Thanksgiving.
