Man expected to face arson charges

NEAR LANESBORO, Minn. (FOX 47) -- Arson charges are expected to be filed Thursday against a Fillmore County man after a house fire near Lanesboro.

The Fillmore County Sheriff's Office has reason to believe the homeowner was responsible for this damage.

The fire was reported Tuesday morning at a residence along Highway 16 just east of Preston.

Deputies arrested the 68-year-old homeowner after learning he had recently left the residence.
