LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The Restore La Crosse Committee submitted petitions Friday to recall Common Council President Audrey Kader.
The group says they have collected more than 100 above the required 158 signatures to recall Kader.
Following the submission, the City Clerk now has 31 days to certify the petitions. Then Kader will have a 10 day period to challenge them.
If the petitions are certified, the recall election would be early next year.
The Restore La Crosse Committee is focusing on Kader for what they say is her failure to provide acceptable leadership to the city council and failing to provide direction to Mayor Matt Harter.
