Hello, my name is Seth Conway. I proudly introduce myself as the next Quintern working at WXOW News 19. I've always watched WXOW growing up in La Crescent Minnesota. I've spent the majority of my life living in the local area. I graduated from Houston, MN. high school. The school is in southeast Minnesota. At Houston I enjoyed success as an athlete in basketball. Currently I attend Viterbo University majoring in Psychology. My career goal is to be a PAO for the United States Air Force.
I really enjoy interacting and helping people, and so far I've gotten a chance to meet some really incredible people since starting my Quinternship. I believe that my Psychology degree has really helped me in learning to deal with others, and has been a real help to me so far in this Quinternship.
My parents are John and Sheri Conway. Family is a very important to me, and I do my best to stay in constant contact with my father as much as possible, he's my best friend. My hobbies include exercising, socializing with friends, and playing video games. I always do my best to be positive in all situations and find enjoyment in everything I do.
When I finish my Psychology degree I intend on getting accepted to O.T.S (Officer's Training School) for the United States Air Force, where I intend on becoming a Public Affairs Officer. This Quinternship has taught me a large amount about media as well as public affairs. Learning how to speak to public officials, edit video, shoot video, and deal with important issues that affect the community has allowed me to prepare for this vigorous career.
I'm extremely grateful for this opportunity and I intend on making the most of it. So far, this Quinternship has been a great learning experience and I'm very excited to continue that quality of learning here at News19 This internship gives me the chance to report and learn more about my hometown, all while being a part of the Hometown Team. Being a Quintern is a rewarding and irreplaceable experience.
