Students donate over 4,000 pounds of food

Posted:

LACROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Since last week, Aquinas Middle School students collected items for those in need.

Each day, students were assigned to bring in a certain item.  Their goal was 4,000 pounds.

They ended up exceeding that goal and collected 4,900 pounds.

Monday morning students loaded up all of the food and items onto a school bus and headed to WAFER Food Pantry to give a big delivery.

This is Aquinas' 10th year collecting items for WAFER.  Last year they delivered 4,700 pounds of food and items to the food pantry.
