LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) He served the community as a doctor for 43 years. And now and again, you may still see James Terman working at local Gundersen Lutheran clinics when he's needed. But that's no the only way he serves the community.
Terman spends his free time looking for used band instruments on the Internet. When he finds what he likes, he buys them and donates them to local schools.
Doctor Terman is November's Jefferson Award winner. You can learn more about what motivates Dr. Terman to continue in the story from photographer Mark Bronson, multi media journalist Steffani Nolte and reporter Dave Solie.
