Mayor pied for charity

Posted:

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) - La Crosse Mayor Matt Harter got pied in the face Monday for a good cause.

All donors placed their name in a bin, hopping they were the ones chosen for the pie-throw.

The Mayor was among those taking part in the Remembering Jesse Parker charity at Western Technical College.

Parker was killed in a car crash back in 2009.

Parker's goal was to provide clean water to countries in need.

Monday's proceeds will be divided among three funds: water, education and a community fund.

Organizers also sold stained glass pieces and water bottles for the charity.

They raised more than $400.
