LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Students in the Therapeutic Massage program at Western held a fundraiser for the La Crosse Community Thanksgiving Dinner. For a five dollar donation the students provided a fifteen minute massage. It's the seventh year Western students held the fundraiser and typically they raise between four and five-hundred dollars. The idea is to not only help fund the turkey dinner, but to also provide a little holiday stress-relief.
Current Student of Therapeutic Massage, Tina Mack said, "I like to do it, to help people with their health. And, it's fun."
Students will continue to offer massages until 7:30 tonight in room 129 in the Coleman Center.
