ONALASKA, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Onalaska held their second annual community dinner on Thanksgiving. The dinner was put on by the Onalaska Rotary Clubs and the Onalaska Enhancement Foundation. The meal included turkey with all the fixings, pies, cakes, and cookies for desert.
About 200 volunteers helped set up the event.
Tom Brewer, president of the Onalaska Enhancement Foundation says, "we had such a great success last year. We served over 700 meals, a lot more than we expected and the response from the community has been so positive." Tom also said the people in the community have such a great time eating thanksgiving dinner with friends and neighbors that they want this event to occur every year.
