TWP. OF MANCHESTER, Wisconsin (WXOW) – The Black River Falls Fire Department spent three and a half hours battling a house fire Saturday afternoon.
Five neighboring fire departments were called in for mutual aid after the fire was reported at N3056 Zillmer Rd.
The family who owns the property was preparing for a Thanksgiving dinner when a circuit tripped.
The family reported hearing the fire start in the attic shortly after reset-ing the breaker.
No one was injured.
The house, which is insured, sustained smoke and water damage throughout.
The American Red Cross has been called in to assist the family.
Its the second fire in as many days in the Town of Manchester for the Black River Falls Fire Department. They battled a garage fire at a home on Dennis Road and kept it from spreading to the nearby home. The fire displaced the family in that fire as well.
