MADISON, Wisconsin (WXOW) - State Senator Jennifer Shilling (D-La Crosse) is named Monday to the Joint Finance Committee.
Sen. Shilling will serve on the committee for the 2013-14 legislative session. She's one of 16 members on the bi-partisan committee made up of both senate and assembly members.
The committee is tasked with looking at all appropriations, revenues, and the state budget.
Their work on the 2013-15 budget begins when Governor Scott Walker presents his budget address in January and formally proposes the budget to the Legislature.
Shilling is the only member on the committee from Western Wisconsin.
