
Undated (WXOW) - HIV infections are on the rise among young people. That's according to a study by the Centers for Disease Control released Wednesday.
The CDC collected data on 13 to 24 year olds and found that youths accounted for 25-percent of the new cases in 2010.
Also, according to the report, more than half of young people infected with HIV were unaware of their infection.
Despite recommendations that young people get tested, the report found that only 13-percent of high school students have.
