Eau Claire (WQOW) - An alleged night of 'thrill-seeking' that ended in a man's death in northern Wisconsin has resulted in homicide charges against the victim's friend.
Cole Fohrenkamm was charged this week in Burnett County for the death of Shawn Swanson. Fohrenkamm is accused of homicide by drunk driving and homicide by negligent driving.
According to the charges, Swanson and a friend were "car surfing' on the outside of Fohrenkamm's SUV when he increased his speed to about 40 mph and started weaving back and forth as part of the game. Swanson fell off and hit his head.
Investigators say Fohrenkamm was intoxicated and had been smoking marijuana before the incident occurred.
