LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - More than two dozen local, non-profit organizations spent the day networking and exchanging ideas, Saturday.
It was part of the second-annual Care & Share Expo, hosted by the Robert & Eleanor Franke Charitable Foundation.
The non-profits, including Couleecap and the Boys & Girls Club, set up displays at the City Brewery Hospitality Center.
Organizers said they hope these groups join forces and share information to better help people in need.
"There's a lot of need in the community more recently and we're hoping to have this kind of event so organization will be able to see what other organizations do and how they might be able to, for example, combine resources," said Mel Hoffman, executive director of the Robert and Eleanor Franke Charitable Foundation.
The community was invited to donate to the 25 non-profits at the expo.
The Robert and Eleanor Franke Charitable Foundation matched donations up to $1,000.
