LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - In less than a month, the La Crosse Skyrockers will ring in the new year with their annual fireworks display over Granddad Bluff.
Leading up to the big show, the Skyrockers are holding Nightly Salutes.
It's a chance for the community to launch fireworks and donate to the Skyrockers, a non-profit organization.
All proceeds will go toward the new years fireworks display.
"This is a long-standing tradition. It goes back to when we founded the club," said Jonathan Vermes, of the Skyrockers. "This is one of our fundraisers so any one that wants to can come up, push the plunger, get a shot up into the air."
There is a Nightly Salute every night until New Years.
Suggested donations are $25 a launch.
