La Crosse Police release name in death investigation

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - La Crosse Police release the name of the man found dead outside a home Tuesday morning.

In a department statement, Lt. Pat Hogan says the person is identified as 53-year-old Mark A. Fuchsteiner of La Crosse.

Fuchsteiner was found lying in a yard in the 1100 block of Main Street. 

Lt. Hogan says the cause of death was hypothermia with alcohol being a contributing factor.  Toxicology done on Fuchsteiner showed a blood alcohol level of .399%.

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW)  La Crosse police are investigating the death of a 54-year old man.

They say his body was found in a yard in the 1100 block of Main Street this morning.  Police say it appears the man was homeless.

According to police, it appears the man died from a combination of alcohol and hypothermia.  They say they have identified the man, but are working to reach family members before releasing additional information.
