Vigil planned for National Homeless Persons' Memorial Day

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The Salvation Army is holding an event to remember past and present members of the homeless community.

"A Walk To Remember" is set for Friday, December 21 at 4:15 p.m.  The candlelight walk and vigil begins at Burns Park at 8th and Main Streets and continues to Cameron Park at 5th and King Streets.

The purpose of the event is to honor those in the homeless community who passed away in 2012.
