LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) As you may know, a group called the Restore La Crosse Committee filed signatures designed to recall La Crosse Common Council President Audrey Kader.
In response to the petition, Kader challenged most of the signatures, asking whether a university address was proper.
The Restore La Crosse Committee responded, arguing that the law says the address is acceptable. Kader replied to the Committee's response, but the Committee argued through a letter to the City Clerk that Kader should not have been able to reply in the way she did under the law.
The Restore La Crosse Committee is requesting the clerk follow the law, or treat Kader's reply as a new challenge to the petitions.
