Local Jazz Musician Talks About Dave Brubeck

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW)  He helped define jazz in the 50's and 60's.  And the Library of Congress once named him a living legend.

Dave Brubeck is probably best known for his work with Paul Desmond, Eugene Wright and Joe Morello.  Brubeck passed away December 5, just a day before his 92nd birthday.

University of Wisconsin La Crosse music professor and jazz musician Greg Balfany says he was influenced by the work of that famous quartet and even met Brubeck during a La Crosse appearance.

News 19's Dave Solie spoke with Balfany who says Brubeck's music will continue.
