TOMAH, Wisconsin (WXOW) - A Tomah man is dead under unusual circumstances following a car accident last week.
According to Tomah Police, a vehicle driven by 31-year-old Harley Leach crashed into a tree along North Superior Avenue Thursday afternoon when he lost control of his car when his eye glasses fell off.
While he didn't have any visible injuries, police say he complained of chest pains. He was taken to Tomah Memorial Hospital. At some point, he left the hospital.
On Friday morning, Tomah Police were called to an apartment where they found Leach dead.
While an immediate cause of death wasn't apparent, an autopsy ordered by the Monroe County Medical Examiner's Office determined that Leach died from internal injuries caused by the vehicle crash.
