VIROQUA, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Viroqua Middle and High school students will once again create 3-D art, thanks to the WXOW Tools for Schools award.
On Wednesday, Art educator Brianna Joy received 300 dollars from SSE Music and WXOW. The award will help purchase a new kiln so the students can resume creating pottery, sculptures, and fused glass art projects.
"Previously because the kiln hasn't been working or used in a long time, they haven't had the chance to explore clay using it on a pottery wheel or hand building," Joy says, "I really want them to experience that because I really think that's an essential part of the art curriculum"
