News 19 rings bells for Red Kettle Campaign

Posted:

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) ------- The Salvation Army volunteer bell ringers are hard at work trying to reach their goal of $200,000 dollars for the Red Kettle Campaign.

In La Crosse, the Army serves about 150 people per day.

Members of News 19 pitched in today, ringing in two hour shifts at Woodman's in Onalaska to help the Army reach its goal.

The Army says a gold coin with the value of 400 dollars was found in one area kettle and after the holidays they'll auction it off to the highest bidder.
