LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - La Crosse Police are trying to find out what happened and who is responsible when a woman was shot in the foot during a party early Sunday morning.
Police released details Thursday afternoon of last weekend's shooting. According to Lt. Patrick Hogan, officers were called to a shots fired call at 4:17 p.m. at 1424 Rose Street. There they found the woman with the foot wound.
Although the woman was initially uncooperative with medical personnel and police, she later talked to officers at a local hospital. The woman said she was outside during a party she was having when some people showed up in the area. She said there was some kind of confrontation followed by the shooting.
Police continue to investigate the case. No one is in custody.
