La Crosse, WISCONSIN (WXOW)  Many people might not know that the Naval Academy has a golf team.

Central's Devin Terry is sure glad they do.

The senior signed a letter of intent to play college golf for the Naval Academy Wednesday.

Terry was a state tournament qualifier as a sophomore and was named all-conference 2nd team last spring as a junior.

The ultra-tough MVC prepared him well for the next level.

But the Naval Academy was an attractive option for other reasons.

"It's a perfect fit for me. It has a great reputation in the field of study I want to continue in in engineering. The Naval Academy is the only place I can do golf and engineering. Plus, I can give back to my country and become an officer in the Navy," Terry said.
