List of additional closings/delays


LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - In addition to many, if not most area schools closed Thursday from the blizzard conditions, there are other organizations that have postponed or delayed their events.

This is only the list of organizations that have contacted WXOW.  Given the weather situation, it may be advisable to call ahead to see if activities are still going as planned.

The La Crosse area family YMCA north branch and La Crosse branch will have a two-hour delay and open at 10 a.m. this morning.

Child care will be closed all day.

Both the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater La Crosse and Partners in Excellence Autism Therapy are closed today.

The Sparta Equity Livestock auction planned for Thursday is canceled.

The Monroe County Senior meal site is closed for the day.

WAFER Food Pantry is set to open today at 4 p.m.

Community State Bank in Norwalk is closed for the day, but their Wilton location will remain open until further notice.

Five Gundersen Lutheran clinics in Tomah, La Crescent, Spring Grove, Harmony, and Houston are all closed today.

The Mayo Clinic Health System clinic in Sparta will be closing early at 3 PM Thursday.  If patients need to be seen after that time, the Sparta hospital/ER will be open 24/7 for any medical needs. Mayo's La Crescent and Caledonia are closing early at 4pm.

The Sparta Free Library is closed for the day.

Gentle Lambs Childcare will close at noon Thursday.

Congregational Pre-school in La Crosse is closed Thursday.
