LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Hundreds of teddy bears made their way to Gundersen Lutheran and Mayo Clinic health system to find a new home Friday.
The Christmas delivery was a result of "Bears in the Air."
The La Crosse Flyers club hosted the fundraiser at the La Crosse Municipal Airport in late November.
Admission to the event was a brand new teddy bear that will be given to kids at the local hospitals.
"It's a great community and it's great to see everybody come together and support such a great event and just give back to the community," said airport manager Clinton Torp, who delivered the bears.
People donated more than 240 bears. They were divided between the two hospitals.
