LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Donations are up at area Goodwill stores, since people are home for Christmas and preparing to file their tax returns.
The three Goodwills can take last year's outdated Christmas gifts off your hands.
If you have old clothes, furniture, toys--even old computers you'd like to recycle--you can drop them off any day of the week at the Bridgeview Plaza, Theater Road, and Mormon Coulee Road locations.
Those locations are typically open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Donating is an easy process, and doing so may even boost your tax return.
"You just pull your vehicle up...we each have a donation attendant that will service you...you can help us assist that or our donation attendant will go to your car and take whatever you need out...bring it in to the building...from there, we give you a receipt which you can use as a tax deduction," Goodwill Area Team Leader Sheri Cartwright explained.
If your New Year's plans include some housekeeping, Goodwill will be accepting donations during the day both New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
