COPY-Odd news stories in Wisconsin 2012

MADISON (WKOW) – When it comes to odd news, Wisconsin has had its fair share of unique headlines in 2012.

Some stories that made headlines across the state included a fundraising pony, a criminal with the name Beezow Doo-Doo Zopittybop-Bop-Bop and a battle between two towns about which had the biggest bratwurst.

There were also stories that could only come from Wisconsin like the discovery of a 40-year-old block of cheddar that eventually sold for $10 an ounce.

In 2012, Wisconsin natives saw a candidate for U.S. Senate use a piglet named Mr. Favors on the campaign trail, a miniature pony that raised money for the Salvation Army and mysterious booms in Clintonville later blamed on a rash of small earthquakes.
