LA CRESCENT, Minnesota (WXOW)-- Julie and Larry Ernst are in their 60s and love exercise.
Julie is a former nurse and Larry used to be a dairy farmer.
"Being a dairy farmer, I was always physically active. However,it was never core concentration like now. I'd be doing stuff for 12 to 14 hrs for me, I've been exercising my whole adult life. Not at the level of the last 3 to 4 years, but I was always an exercise person since my 20's, said Larry.
Both Julie and Larry workout with trainers at Snap Fitness.
Julie actually has three trainers.
"When you retire, too many people play a little golf or card and you lose the desire to keep going. You think life is in your last stage. I just think it's another stage. For me and Julie, both retired, I think it's the greatest stage. We have time to work out. I sleep better. I feel better," said Larry.
Their trainers say at age 62, these two go pound for pound at the gym with people 1/3 of their age.
