La Crescent, MN (WXOW)--- News 19's Amy DuPont, Lindsey Hayes and Alex Kirchner had a friendly wager on the Packers/Vikings game this past weekend. Alex and Lindsey are Packers fans. Amy is a Vikings fan. Since the Vikings won, Alex and Lindsey had to write complimentary letters to a MN Viking player and then read them on News 19 Daybreak.
They also have to sport Vikings apparel and wear it out in public for a lunch or dinner next week.
Here are the letters:
Dear Christian Ponder,
You have always been an inspiration to me. You give me hope that, one day, I too can be an NFL quarterback, since you and I appear to have the same throwing ability. It's nice to see that you can cross "playing in the playoffs" off of your to-do list; I suppose a team can catch a break every once in a while.
Some friendly advice: Be sure to pack plenty of warm clothing before you get on the bus. I wouldn't want you to catch a cold playing outside this weekend. Allow plenty of time to warm up your arm so you don't strain it while handing off to Adrian Peterson 500 times.

Dear Adrian Peterson,
Even though I am a die-hard Packers fan, I respect you as a player. This season you put up 409 yards against one of the best teams, if not the best team in the NFL: the Packers. That says a lot!
Secondly, I love your style of play.
You have one speed: fast.
You're a team player, a class act, play with heart, and always give 110 percent.
Athletes with these qualities always deserve respect, even if they play for a team that hasn't won a Super Bowl and maybe never will.
Thank you for being a good role model for kids.
You always take time to give back and are sincere when meeting fans.
We need more pro-athletes to follow your lead.
When I interned for Vikings Weekly, you told me your favorite food was your Mama's Southern Fried Chicken.

Currently, you carry the entire team on your back to get a win.
My advice: find a way to get traded to the Packers, so you don't have to do it alone.
We have a MVP QB, amazing WRs, a talented O-line, strong defense, great coaches, and we are not wimps- we play outside not in a dome.
