Badgers primed to make another run in '13

Pasadena, CALIFORNIA (WXOW)  Bret Bielema did not leave the cupboard bare when he bolted for Arkansas.

In fact, he said he thinks the Badgers will have 12-13 NFL draftable players coming into next season.

New head coach Gary Andersen has to be licking his chops.

Most of the corps players who led Wisconsin to their third straight Rose Bowl will be back, including quarterbacks Curt Phillips and Joel Stave.

Could there be an un-precedented 4th straight run at a Rose Bowl in 2013?

"He had a chance to watch practice this week. Some of his staff were at practice. They had a chance to evaluate the players and get an idea in their minds what they have and what they need to recruit. We have a very good nucleus coming back next year, a lot of juniors. They have a chance to be an outstanding squad again next year," said UW athletic director Barry Alvarez.

"We'll have a good team next year. Our defense will be good, offensively too. But I'm excited. I'm going to work real hard. It was a learning experience for me," said running back Melvin Gordon.
