Sparta, Wisconsin (WXOW) - A former La Crosse County Board Member has pleaded guilty to a charge involving prostitution.
48-year-old Bill Brockmiller is one of five men arrested in August after they responded to an Internet ad offering sexual services an exchange for money.
Police posted the Internet advertisement and set up a sting operation at a La Crosse hotel.
In a court hearing in Sparta on December 29, Brockmiller pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of Prostitution-Sexual Contact. He was fined $631.
Because Brockmiller was on the La Crosse County Board, the case was handled by prosecutors in Vernon County and Monroe County Judge Todd Ziegler.
Brockmiller represented the 11th District on the La Crosse County Board.
After his arrest, he resigned his position.
